We Met

‘At My Worst – He loves Me’

Olivia Lane released a song in 2021 ‘ Woman at the Well’. You should listen. Not much to say today – life consists of a series of well-designed battles. Sometimes we get wounded.. We all have had to overcome something. Do not allow the pain of recovery to keep you stuck with the pain of your wound. Rise up and walk again. Allow your shame to become that rampart on which you stand to shout ‘Come see a God who loves me, just as I am. He is changing me as He sees fit.’

For you who may be reading this and feel so distant from this God you have been hearing about – He sees you. Maybe you have drifted so far, He seems unreachable. Could it be that you feel your sins have been too many? Have you told yourself that He could never love you? Or you may have even questioned His existence – Where has He been all your life?

If you and I could roll back the curtains of our life, we would see He has always been there. I know – We met.

For you:

I heard a story from the Bible
When I was just a little girl
About a broken-hearted woman
Who met the Savior of the world

Thought it was just another story
One that the preacher man would read
But as I’m sittin’ here at home
Drinkin’ red wine all alone
I think that woman might be me

‘Cause tonight I feel just like
The woman at the well
Wondering how someone could love me
When I can’t love myself
But You want me as I am and that sounds crazy
I guess maybe that’s why grace is so amazing
