I just love to hear people’s story. The ones of triumph, defeat, battles fought- loss or won. I’m not good at doing shallow for long. Somewhere, somehow I will ask the deep questions. I guess I’m just nosey! I’m fascinated with the roads we’ve traveled and how we arrived at this moment.
I’d like to think it gives me joy to join in your journey. To hear how you got here. To applaud, support, encourage and pray you into your prepared place. In this pic – we are simply catching up. A memorial service brought us together. Some of us hadn’t seen each other in over thirty plus years. The stories are many are varied. There never seem to be enough time. We are simply grateful that God hinged our hearts and lives together at some point in history. Thankful that we are alive to share the pages from our individual life manuscripts. The ones that are continually being written and edited.
I teach adults who are ‘starting again’ in a new country. Stories of grit, fight, overcoming, and pushing through. These are the ones I share with them daily to inspire and challenge them to never give up. I guess it gives me joy to collect stories. Because your story truly matters – I’ll continue being nosey.
