I go back there – right back to childhood – mangoes take me there every time.

This was our ‘junk food’ especially in the summer months. It’s so funny that now I have to buy mangoes, back then I would walk past mangoes on the ground.

My friends who are still living in my island home often post these pictures to torment me. There is a mango for every palate – even the sophisticated ones.

You have not finished a mango until it looks like this! God smiled on us when He gave us this amazing fruit.
A sweet June plum does it for me!

Growing up in the Midwest, I didn’t have my first mango till age eighteen, while serving as a short-term missionary in Honduras, many years ago. SO delicious! They were part of my breakfast, lunch, and dinner until I broke out in a bad case of hives! ‘Had to forego the mangoes after that, sad to say.
