Teaching is hard work. Period. Celebrating milestones and watching students flourish truly makes every challenging moment worth it all. I’ll always put this on repeat : “In every lifetime and every season, I’ll be a teacher all over again”. This God-given assignment will always be part of my ‘why’. There are those slice of time when the stars seem to shine brighter and the birds sing a bit louder – the pieces fit and you see dreams come true right before your eyes. Their world suddenly start to make sense – and I get front seat to these extraordinary moments. Watching your students find their ‘place in this universe’ brings a kind of fulfillment that’s second to none.

These are the times when we see the sore throats, tired feet, and late nights begin to pay off. You get all choked up and teary-eyed; the second wind kicks in and propels you on one more semester. They become your children- your investment another day. With a tired smile, you do it again. And again.

“Good teachers are the ones who can challenge minds without losing their own.” –Unknown.
