She’s Royal

Another post about the recent weekend with my high school graduating class! In my previous post we celebrated the boys who became men in their own rights. We all know that behind every great man is a royal queen or princess. You don’t have to agree with me, but our creator designed it that way. When He looked at Adam He noted that he needed a help-meet. Someone who would help bring out the best in Him. That’s purpose by design. So here we are! Royal. Not just wearing royal blue – the color of our prestigious institution. She is ROYAL! According to Mr. Riley- ” I need her in my life”. You do too…

‘What a natural beauty
No need no make-up to be a cutie’
😊

I take the time to celebrate the ladies who showed up with much grace and beauty. We know the story. You stand as the backbone of your family. Many times unseen and underappreciated. Taking the lower ground often times for peace sake. You’ve battled hard for those you love; at times putting your dreams on hold. Then there were those silent tears and silent pain. The pain that may have propelled you into greater purpose and brought out your ‘shine’.

Some of us were blessed with that one true love. Or maybe he found you the second time around. Some of us have loved and loss. Today we are doing this journey from a place of pain; awaiting the moment when the pain lessens. There may be some of us who have been broken too often and have decided to pour our love into another purpose and cause that fully satisfies. No judgement here.

“The way she move to her own beat
She has the qualities of a queen’
🎶

We know it didn’t get easier because we grew up. The harder it got; the stronger that little girl became. The stronger that woman became. If we make it look easy it’s because we have been tried, tested, and refined. We’ve developed inner fortitude because of the mental, emotional and spiritual battles we were called to fight. Because of the grace of God we came out on the other side of hell without losing our minds. The beauty scars we wear on hidden parts of our bodies are testimonies that we overcame. We overcame not just for ourselves but for those depending on us. Those who call us mother, wife, grandma, aunt, sister, daughter, niece, friend and lover. We’re Royal!

‘When they ask what a good woman’s made of
She’s not afraid and ashamed of
who she is – She’s Royal’
🎶

We showed up and continued the stories of yesteryears. Chapters and pages were added to our stories – we shared some of those. We laughed and reminisced. It is said that royal blue has a regal association and often represents trusts and confidence. Like the blue of our beloved high school- we continue to be Royal.

Ladies, From My Heart to Yours:

Today may there be peace within
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are
meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are
born of faith.
May you confidently use those gifts that you have been blessed with
Pass on the love that has been given to you- Continue to be Royal

***From one Royal to another-Much love and peace.
