Lost

Has someone ever taken front seat in your mind? You haven’t seen them in awhile – haven’t spoken much. Then you sense that need to check in. I find it takes us being intentional when that need captures our heart. There’s a reason we were ‘entrusted’ with that desire. We have a responsibility to not ‘ drop the ball’. That person may just be waiting for you…for me.

This was my experience recently. I realized there were some things swirling around that could have placed a wedge between that person and myself. I felt God leading me to check my posture. I began to see things through the lens of love. On purpose, I reached out with a different mindset. As the conversation unfolded, I sensed a lost person. Appearing to have it all together – beautiful on the outside. But lost. My heart broke.

‘A Desire to Find You’

Would you be the one to reach out? Seek for that lost one. Would you be the one who is willing to be found- today? There’s room for us both. There’s a place in the heart of God for the lost. His plans are always of purpose. Do you feel like a wandering soul today? Lost your way and can’t seem to find that road back home? Here’s one reminder:

For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. [Jeremiah 29:11-13]

A million miles of my mistake
Still couldn’t keep Your love away
How ever far away I am from home
That’s how far Your love will go..
.[‘How Far’ -Tasha Layton]

***Thanks for reading – Check in on someone today or ‘be found’.
