Here in our sphere of the universe it’s the beginning of a new week. Sometimes I wonder what God ‘sees’. I call it a new week – He calls it ‘what’? I don’t know. The more I know, the more I realize I don’t know. A friend of mine sent me this picture she captured on one of her walks. This stately bird stands there – he seems to know something I don’t know. Something that makes him look so peaceful and unbothered. Maybe no one told him about our current economic situation and that the world has become dangerously unkind. Probably he didn’t lie awake worrying about what he would eat, drink or wear. Not much concern about where he’ll lay his head tonight. Not concerned about who loves, likes or dislikes him. I’m sure he knows somethings I don’t know or may have conveniently forgotten as I rise to a new week. Somethings that point me to that place of peace.
When I forget
Remind me
I am more than the sum of
My messes and mistakes
More than the lies
I often believe
In closing my mind’s eye to the impossible
I begin to see the possible
That it is in giving – I receive the most
In letting go I am caught
In dying to the selfish me
I really start to live
Releasing my fears
Gives room for faith
Not being afraid of losing
Is where I win
Finding You
Is the beginning of finding me
****Thanks for reading – Lest we forget, let’s call to remembrance our blessings today.
I dunno… I write my posts about how crappy it is for me to be me. Then I come here and find out how wonderful it is for you to be you! They say opposites attract ya know. Hehehehe…

LOVE that poem, RH! You’ve highlighted a number of ways our lives are wondrously enhanced when we find God. Contemplating each truth fills the spirit with encouragement! Thank you.

What that bird knows that we tend to forget is that our Maker(ours and his) watches over every single one of us; that His eyes are on the sparrow and we should know that He watches over us because we are worth much more than sparrows! What he knows that we tend to forget is that the GOOD God opens up His Hand and satisfies the desire of every living thing (Psalm 145:16)
Oh, how soon we forget…
