We Win

My BFF and I, along with some of our high school graduating class hung out in Atlanta recently. We visited the 1996 Olympic Village. Here we are standing on the ‘gold medal’ podium. We’ve been friends for about 46 years. – WOW!! Having traversed some rocky places in life, we’ve got stories to tell. God has been faithful to us. Amidst the bitter-sweet experiences of life, we treasure the lessons learned.

Here’s something we have discovered. God doesn’t always give us what we want, but He sure gives us what we need. In retrospect, I’ve come to understand that letting me always get what I want can sometimes lead to tragedy and pain. All God’s no, yeses and delays are profitable when I’m in His will. Whether it’s a yes, no, or wait – either way – we win! And so we trust.
