Many things cause my tears to flow! The way a boy loves his mom and a girl adores her dad. Watching the ‘underdog’ win. Seeing poetry made out of a shattered life. A blind eye seeing beauty for the first time. When a tired weary soul finds rest in the arms of the God who invites us into His rest. A broken bruised heart finding love that soothes and heals the wounds. In this sometimes cold harsh world, there is still much beauty to make a grown man cry. Much to make the most callous heart melt and pour out liquid love.
I also love being there when dreams are realized. For some time I have wanted to start a beginners pickle ball group. I find in my community, there weren’t places for people to make a fool of themselves fine tuning their pickle ball skills. Most of the locations had people who were already quite skilled and they just want to play. Beginners can’t always expect that players want to invest their 1 hour teaching them. Players want to play! I get that. My heart has always been for ‘the less than perfect’. I threw the idea out to some millennials and quite a few wanted a safe place to learn. Yesterday, 8/31/2024, we met for the first time. About 9 people have shown interest so far and 6 showed up yesterday. Never despise the day of ‘small beginnings’. My heart was so full! I call this Dream Realized – it certainly made me teary-eyed.

‘Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.‘ Mark 11:24
Well done! Btw the young lady in blue could be your sister.

I wish you lived in MY neighborhood–I’d join your pickle ball group! I’ve played tennis and racquetball, but that was decades ago. Pickle ball looks like fun!

OH! You would be great at it then. I played tennis in college a little and I’m just learning pickle ball. Started in July but I love it. Such a pity we’re far apart. 😃
