Almost one year ago I shared a bit about my visit to Sight and Sound in PA. On a scale of 1 to 10 for faith-based/Christian productions – I give this company or ministry a good 9. They have always showed up with quality and class. The last show I saw there was Daniel. Next to it, for me, would be The Holy Land Experience in Orlando which sadly closed.
I’ve been to Broadway but not everything connected with my soul. As I get older, what I feed the inner me matters so much more. Daniel tells the story of standing tall in the uncomfortable. Staying true to your core values at the risk of losing it all. Being faithful to a God who shows up in furnaces of affliction. This was a timely reminder that He still delivers and protects His own in the face of danger and hostility. So many of us need to hold fast to this truth as we watch our world seemingly spinning out of control. It is always good to have anchors that hold us steadfast and immovable especially when our world shakes.

Truthfully, I am not a big live production fan. Honestly, I fall asleep in the best of them. The same can be said about the movie theater – at some point in time , I will fall asleep. In great live productions, however, I may just nod a time or two.šāØ
I can’t remember seeing a live, faith-based production, except for local church endeavors (some of which have been excellent). I’m so glad there are groups providing this form of Christian education/entertainment!

Google ‘Sight and Sound’ in Lancaster PA or Branson MO. Take a trip – you won’t be disappointed. The do ‘Noah, David, Daniel among others depending on the season and location. Absolutely worth it.

My girlfriend wanted us to go see this last year but the time just never worked out. I’m glad you enjoyed it, the story of Daniel is a good one.

We can plan on seeing when one – I can fly up. It’s cheaper than flying to PA.
