High Fives

Daily writing prompt
Share five things you’re good at.

Encouraging. Reframing. Teaching. Releasing. Being Me.

Not because I have perfected these, but life has led me down pathways that has required me to do these over and over. I firmly believe that you can get good at what you practice – willingly or unwillingly. These ‘fives’ are high on my list. The beautiful blend of bitter and sweet led me here. On my journey, God equipped me with these tools. I found a better version of me emerged when I embraced these. Much of who I am today is wrapped up in these five.

My Creator,

You are my ‘I am’. All sufficient- everything I need is in You. Today I call you Creator because ‘You knitted me together in my mother’s womb’. From what I’ve come to understand about my beginning – I wasn’t a plan on my parents’ vision board. I have, however, come to know that You had a plan for me. All that I am today is because of your investment in me. You stayed when I didn’t deserve your presence. You saw me when no one else did. In the quietness of my silence, you heard what I couldn’t narrate with words. I am becoming the one You envisioned me to be. Bit by bit, layer after layer – I unfold. Thank you for the journey – the highs and lows. I am here today because You, the Potter, never left me broken.
