As seasons change, chapters close, new doors open and fresh new challenges present themselves—we find ourselves prone to forget how we got over in the first place. We quickly lose sight of Who walked us through the last rodeo. I’m sure you’ve noticed that life consists of a series of strategically designed battles. To maintain our sanity and sense of gratitude, we cannot lose our amazement of God’s goodness. Too often we get into our heads when the going gets tough. We take our eyes off the Captain of our souls and we start to sink into despair and worry. How soon we forget that He knows the way that we should take. One sure way to ensure we stay centered in a place of peace is to call to remembrance the faithfulness of God. Be careful not to forget!

Find a reason to remind yourself of God’s goodness. Don’t let the miracles of times past become common. Rehearse them until they fuel your heart for the next steps. When we run on empty, battle fatigue wears us down. Wear thanksgiving as a daily ornament and call to mind your wins as often as possible. Embrace the lessons learned from the times of perceived failure and be grateful that you’re still above ground. You still have the opportunity to influence or write the end of this chapter. When you are tempted to be overwhelmed by the present season –revisit that place of gratitude. Remind the troubled you to never forget!
Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things He does for me.
Psalm 103:2 [NLT]
Faith is the assured expectation of what is hoped for, the evident demonstration* of realities that are not seen. Hebrews 11:1
Just thought the above scripture might help. Beautiful post! I truly believe we can never be happy in this world until we invite our savior into our hearts.

“How soon we forget that He knows the way that we should take.” Just today I found myself swirling in the question marks of a difficult situation before the Holy Spirit got my attention and reminded me: Nothing is impossible for God (Luke 1:37). He will lead the way (Proverbs 3:6). And now you have provided this affirmation. Thank you, R-H!
