Grace Enough

It takes time and a certain level of maturity to wait and pray in expectation knowing that God may not respond the way you’d like. To find yourself at peace with His ‘no’ and to be truly okay with it. I’ve come to understand that ‘My grace is enough’ is often God’s answer to our passionate pleas. This means His grace is available in spite of how weak and weary we feel. It is there for the taking if we dare to take a deep breath and receive. Simply put, I can walk through this because of His grace. I am never left alone. As daunting as the road ahead might be, He has graced us for the journey.

“I never go alone’

Today may be one of many days that you say ‘amen’ at the end of a prayer—only to repeat that same ‘amen’ again tomorrow. Still waiting for a change. Could it be that God is saying ‘I trust you with this’ ? He may have given you the divine enablement to go through this season. Are we wasting time and energy trying to pray away something that God has designed or orchestrated for our greater good? That difficulty may just be the tool that is being used to take us to the next level as we continue to grow in grace.

Dear Child:

It’s not punishment. I want you to know that I trust you with this. My ‘no’ has as much purpose as my ‘yes’. They both are designed to complete my divine plan and purpose for you. When I don’t heal or deliver in your time, know that nothing escapes my vision. I sense your pain; I hear your cry and I see your tears. Those days when you feel like you can’t stand, I am there to hold you. In the hospital room, the doctor’s office – I am there when fear becomes bigger than your faith. When I take your loved one, be reminded that I see in the realms of the unknown. You know too little to make a judgement call.

Those days when you can’t, I can. When you show up hurting, my strength is there to carry you through. When I appear to be silent, be still and listen. Often I speak without words. There’s nothing I’ve allowed in your life that I haven’t equipped you to handle. The brokenness you experience is designed for the best in you to be poured out. The hidden gifts, talents, songs, words of life and wisdom; everything that lies in your heart unused and veiled. The world needs the ‘oil’ in you. That which brings healing and hope. I do nothing without a purpose. When you don’t understand, trust My hand. Trust that my grace is enough.

He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength as our labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials He multiplies peace.

His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.

  1. I guess the hardest part is not knowing whether the answer is “no” or if it’s “you’re not ready to receive it yet”, and that’s where faith comes in. Whatever it is you’re praying for my friend, keep praying, he’s always on time ❤️.

    1. The Lord knows just when and how to comfort our hearts. That’s the kind of Father He is. I wrote this from a place of needing this reassurance too – I get exactly where you are at. May His love carry you thru this season. 🙏🙏🏽
