Lately I’ve been missing and I know it. Writing hasn’t been taking up much space at my table these days. To be transparent, I’ve been struggling just to read posts from even some of my of my favorite bloggers. I need time to walk through and navigate this season in a healthy way. Reading and engaging with other writers has been a meaningful part of my daily routine over the last few years. Though I have no plans of walking away from this part of my world, I have always felt the need to write from an authentic place. I can’t force it- I can only write when something causes my heart to ‘beat’.

‘ Island Life- A place to get away for a minute’

I trust that my fellow bloggers and readers get the space I’m in right now. The need to get away from the usual flow for a minute. I sat at that table above not so long ago and as I stared at the ocean, I knew I needed to be held in a divine way. This is a season I know many are familiar with. We give ourselves permission to embrace the different twists and turns of life. The desire is to come out on the other side stronger, wiser, and kinder – a better version of the I in ‘me’. I’ve learned to give Christ the latitude to refine me as He sees fit. I sense this is one of those seasons. Hence I choose to pay attention. So, here I am – missing but not gone. I promise to check in soon.

  2. Take the time you need, girlfriend. Even Jesus, in His humanity, ever so often, got away from the crowd to get needed refreshing/ revival/ renewing. We ALL need it!

  4. Thank you for putting into words…exactly where I am at. For me, it is an empty place and I am not used to that…I trust that The Lord is allowing me “a break” before He carries me to the next step.

    Know that you rest in Him, and continue being gentle with yourself❤️
