There’s an old song that echoes the sentiment that’s at the forefront of my mind often: ‘When He was on the cross, I was on His mind’. When one of Christ’s followers attempted to defend and protect Him , He said, ‘Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly?’ [Matthew 26:53]. I call this controlled power and grace under fire. He could have but He didn’t. Jesus understood the assignment. I’d like to think that His love kept Him on the cross- not the nails. Love for you and me.

I don’t mourn today – I live from a place of gratitude. Gratitude that Someone thought me worthy to be rescued. How about you? Have a peaceful Good Friday.
