I consider it a tragedy to have lived decades on this earth and to never know what it feels like to love and be loved. To care for someone other than yourself. To have your heart skip a beat or pulsate at the thought of seeing someone. To want to be better because of that someone in your life. To feel your heart beating in unison as you embrace. To have your world change from black and white to color because another soul entered it. To laugh at nothing and anything. To sit in silence and hear a thousand words. To shout with joy as you watch another rise to purpose. To sit with them in pain though you can do nothing to alleviate it. To wipe a brow and give a smile because that’s all that is needed. To provide shelter because you can’t stop the rain from falling.

Sadly, not every mother or father loves. Not every spouse, sister or brother loves. Not every lover or friend loves. Sadly, not every child, sister, brother husband or wife knows love. So many parched, wounded and broken souls traverse their lifetime and never know what it means to love and be loved. There’s a silent cry that echoes from such hearts – a cry to know what love is.
“These three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Cor 13:13
Beautiful and a little sad ❤️.
