Fresh faced and barely just a girl myself – I discovered a world of love in my classroom. Through the years, I’ve felt nothing but love from my students. I’ve been privileged to get front row seats to their journey – if but for a small slice of time. These are now doctors, educators, social workers, accountants, the list goes on. I am satisfied just to say ‘ I was there at their early beginnings.

Face to face or virtual, we connect in amazing ways. We laugh, cry, hope and dream together. We’ve discovered the beauty in doing this together.

I give, they give. They learn, I grow. Hearts knitted with common goals and individual passions. I dare to believe that God knew they needed me just as much as I needed them.

Light a fire or fill a pail – either way we never leave the same. Creating memories for the tomorrows when we are apart. I am truly grateful for my part in their journey.

Every year, term or semester, I welcome them into my world. As I aim to inspire, encourage, and motivate – I become their cheerleader daily. In a world that has become tainted with toxicity, we create an atmosphere where we flourish from a safe place.

Away from the hustle and bustle of life, we find a world of unending possibilities. I’ve tasted love in many forms, wearing many faces – clothed in all kinds of garb. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to bask in this love from unexpected places.

We get to celebrate their moments of accomplishment. We watch their fight, their struggle; they see their dream realized. We cheer them along their journey.

In our little world, their love fuel my passion. I get to watch them walk into their new tomorrows – leaving their marks on the tablets of our hearts. In every lifetime, I’d choose this place over and over again.
*** Thank you for reading. I pray you’ve found your place of love.
If you had on a uniform in the first picture no one would have been able to tell who the teacher is. I can see you are right at home in the classroom.
