The first time my babies’ eyes lock with mine – that moment when they seem to discover that I was their safe space. And the smile that followed. That’s a moment that took my breath away. Our world would never be the same. There was an awesome realization that God gave me this precious cargo to carry for a season. I was now responsible for creating an atmosphere that would be their first introduction to life as they would know it. As their eyes would follow me – they became familiar with the music, the smells, the sounds, the emotions, the spirit of the place they would first call home. I pray I gave them a wonderful welcome to life.
Our eyes met
You saw me
Bright eyed and hopeful
Your heart beats against mine
God gave me you
Love in its purest form
No vices – No deceit
You needed me
I needed you
