🎶’And it looks like
I’m never gonna fall in love again
Fall in love, I’m never gonna fall in love
I mean it
Fall in love again’🎶
For some reason I listened to the lyrics of this song for the first time a few days ago. Tom Jones did an amazing job selling this narrative. One that many have bought into. It struck me how easily we allow others to rob us of what we have been blessed with as humans here in this imperfect world. Why would someone give another human permission to lock the door of their heart? Matters of the heart can be very complicated, I know. Ever so often, it takes more than emotions to govern sound choices or decisions. There comes a time when we need to ask ourselves the hard questions. Ask the whys. Why do we give others power to keep our hearts suffocated and crippled?
The gift of love is from God. It has a way of bringing healing, life, and hope. It resurrects dead things , bringing back the shine to a life filled with gloom and darkness. I can only imagine Our Heavenly Father tenderly spurring hearts on – love again! We may choose not to and that’s okay. Love comes in many forms. Some of us may have found it other meaningful ways. However, if you desire to truly have your heart connected to someone as a life partner- believe that it is still possible! Speak to your heart – tell it to love again. Tell it to beat again! Maybe the script can change in a minute – I believe. Do you?
🎶In my life where everything was wrong
Something finally went right
Now there’s two less lonely people
In the world tonight 🎶
‘Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it.’ [ Songs of Solomon 8:7a]
Yep, love flows eternally…or is it hope…one of the same 🙂.

Oh, I believe! The hurt heart wants to gather all it’s love, like beloved shells, and instead of taking them out and sharing with others, the hurt heart wants to gather them up and hide them away. Loving others hurts, but maybe love that loves despite the hurt is the most beautiful love of all. (BTW, my grandmother adored Tom Jones – LOL)
