Reminders

I got up this morning with the intent to share something- I went blank. Not that I have nothing to say. Many thoughts and ideas swirled around my mind, but nothing grabbed me from that ‘place’. That place of passion and meaningfulness. As my fingers hit the keyboard, I realized that it was okay. I am forced to remind myself that it’s okay not to write on a Sunday morning as I usually do. I really have nothing ‘deep’ to say today and it’s okay. So here are some reminders for the times you come up ’empty’- when you feel less than your best:

‘ No Trophy Required’

It doesn’t take a trophy to be seen. You are always seen and loved. We don’t always have to show up perfect. Today, we release ourselves of those unrealistic expectations that stifle us and give us a warped view of others. Because we don’t always have it all together, we recognize the need for God. We need to be okay with that!

He gives power to the weak
    and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.
[Isaiah 40:29-31]

**Thanks for reading – ‘We don’t have it all together – you are not alone’.
