Lasting Memories

They say ‘memories don’t leave like people do – they always stay with you. Whether they’ve been good or bad’. Not sure how true this is. Christmas fell on a Sunday 2005, 2011, and 2016. Funny I tried so hard to remember what those Christmases looked like; I remember nothing. It could have been that I was too busy doing all the stuff…it just went by. This year I chose to slow down and recalibrate. I decided to not lose sight of what truly matters. It really isn’t my birth that I am celebrating- I choose to remember this for Christmas 2022.

‘From My heart to Yours’

“I love that you give to me, but I want you to know that what I love most is having you in my life. When all the music fades and the crowd disappears – when we have nothing left, I’m glad we have each other. I treasure the memories we have been blessed with. My heart raises a resounding thank you to God for giving to me first. He found me and led me to you. He has knitted our hearts together with that which overflowed from His love. Today as we celebrate, we choose not to forget His first gift – Jesus- the reason for the season.”

God gave first; that’s why we celebrate. He gave so we might have hope, peace and a way to be reconciled back to Himself. For me this is the reason life makes sense. Whatever you choose to do today -Christmas Day- create lasting memories. Let this be one that counts. Beyond the gifts and festivities, savor the moments. Hug those in your space – release the ones you’ve held captive. Listen to someone- look into their eyes. Try to hear and understand the difficult ones. The truth is, we have today – no one knows about next Christmas. Have a blessed Christmas y’all!!

Merry Christmas to all those who stop by ever so often to share my heart!✨💖
