Lesson Learned

Bloganuary 2023 Day#29 What is a lesson you have learned recently?

Life is a unique classroom with a rigorous curriculum designed to build us up and equip us with the tools necessary to navigate life successfully. The intent is not to attain perfection but to do life with grace despite our imperfections. To show up when we would rather check out. To rise and walk again after falling a thousand times. To never be defined by our missteps but to use them as steppingstones. To see others through eyes of mercy and grace as we come face to face with our own limitations. To strive to be a better me – better than I was yesterday. To come to the understanding that there is an Omniscient One- God Almighty who knows exactly what He was doing when He created me. Hence as I seek to find me and discover the why to my existence – I need to consult Him.

In like manner, He created you with purpose in mind. Your twists and turns are known to Him. He searches your heart, sees your intentions, and judges you accordingly. At my best, I know nothing about that deep hidden you – nothing about your tomorrows or your turnarounds. He and only He alone knows your beginning and your end. At your worst and at your best – your life and your times are in His hands.

The lesson I’ve learned is I don’t know enough to make a judgement call on anyone’s life.

***Thanks for reading – I have learned to stay in my lane.

  1. I thought of I Samuel 16:7 when I read this … for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. You’re right in that we never know enough about a person or situation to make a judgement call. He offers me grace and I strive to be gracious to others too. Blessings!
