This heart of mine
Has bought into many lies
These ears have given space
To multitude of voices
From he, she, even and me
Lies so loud
Truth didn’t stand a chance
The narrative may have changed
But still bore the spirit of lies
You’re not enough
You can never…
Too old- too young
Things will fall apart
The pieces won’t fit
You’re alone
No one hears or cares
You lack strength
Too weak
Will never recover from this fall
Your sins too many
Transgressions too great
Irredeemable—irreconcilable
God doesn’t see –Don’t need Him
I am my own deliverer
My own truth–I do it my way
I can do it all by myself
I alone sit on the throne of my own heart
Lies we often tell ourselves
Many we have believed
It is the truth that sets us free. [John 8:32]

***Thanks for reading – Don’t buy into those crippling lies. God’s way, though not easy, is perfect!
We really do at times question God, don’t we? I know I have done it more times than I count. But you know what I have found out. That no matter how many times I question Him He is always ready to give me an answer. He still loves me in spite of myself.
Now if I can learn to keep me out of the way, it would make it much easier. But since I struggle with that, He is always there guiding me.

I heard a minister say, ” You can ask God a question without questioning Him.” That’s it right there. He delights in us having those conversations. However, I’ve learned never to question His sovereignty, wisdom and His purpose. Thanks for commenting.

Yes, sometimes, we are our biggest liar. A condition of us being human I guess 😊.

You can say that again. Thankfully there’s room to self-correct!

You’ve highlighted a lot of those lies that can sneak in and cause trouble! Thank you for sharing that wonderful passage from Isaiah, paraphrased by Eugene Peterson. Now THERE’S strong truth we can wield against Satan’s lies with confidence!
