Assignment Completed!

Daily writing prompt
What are your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?

I believe I was birthed for a purpose. My true desire is to discover and live out that purpose. When that has been accomplished – then my time here is finished. I have no taste for purposeless living. Personally, I echo this comforting scripture ‘ my life and my times are in His hands’. I declare that the number of my days I shall fulfill – whatever that is.

‘Last summer – our 40th high school reunion. I think we’ve been blessed to have only lost a few. We’re still here!’

I desire a well-lived life much more than a long-lived one. I want to squeeze every minute out of it, waste as little time as possible on futile endeavors. My life goal is to give myself fully to what I’m called to, show up even when it’s tough! Play even if I have to play in pain. Leave a legacy that has little to do with material things. To pour myself into another – to help reignite the fire in a broken fractured soul. To leave a trail of love and mercy wherever life takes me. I want to be there – to see and hear those who are around me. Let them know they matter. To get paid to do what I was made to do. Touch somebody, ease a load, make someone smile, love somebody, be loved and find peace with my Creator.

How many years does it take? I don’t know. That’s above my pay grade. So, I give each day to God – I trust He leads me to end. Just help me to do what YOU birthed me to do and do it well!
