It’s spring break here in my county! That there ☝🏾is where I’d love to be – exploring my native island. Not possible this year, so I’ll embrace my mini staycation here in the Sunshine State. Funny how as we get older we learn to make the most of our reality. Our sophisticated temper tantrums are now replaced with a more common sense approach to life. We can’t always have what we want, but we can certainly make something beautiful with the salty and sweet that life dishes us.
Not where I’d like to be
Daydreaming of another place
Drowning, wallowing
In my own self-absorbed fantasies
Take me to another
My lower self cries
Dissatisfied with what is
What if ‘what is’ is all I need
What if purpose awaits
In my ‘what is’
In my now there maybe
A divine destiny moment
Help me to see
What You see Father
As the scale falls from my eye
May my ‘what is’ be enough
****Thanks for reading – This is me writing from a place of peace😊.
I’d love to be there too! Enjoy your spring break.

A lovely poem! Florida, a wonderful place to be. My kids godparents and our best friends, moved to west palm in 96. May the warmth of there, and the love of the Father there, fill your heart and soul, there!
