This is one of my favorite things to do while traveling. I love the details – to know the where, the when, and how fast. Why do I want this information? I’m not too sure, but I love having it. Don’t you wish life offered this channel as an option. If you’re like me, there may have been times when life took you on a journey leaving you clueless and directionless. You seek for answers and often you can’t tell whether you’re coming or going. Admittedly, sometimes I just want to know!
I want to know when this season of discomfort will end. Tell me when my heart will beat again. When I feel like I’m drowning, I want to know when I’ll breathe again. Give me a timeline that will make this pain, this ache more bearable. I’d love to know that my fears are baseless. That what I desire or hope for are not mere pipe dreams. Time and time again it is said there is purpose in the pain. What’s the purpose in this? Where will this end? How will this end? When will this end? While a flurry of thoughts invades my mind, I wait for clarity. Sometimes trusting is hard, not knowing makes the future seem daunting. There are days I really want to know when I’ll get to that place, we all yearn for. The place of answered prayers – a place of sweet surrender to Your will. That place where all of this makes sense.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.
