Truthfully, I’ve never thought about about ‘giving an impression’. I have found it very easy to be me; it’s too much energy to be otherwise. People may like my flavor, or not. It’s too much a burden for me to be constantly concerned about people’s impression of me. The best of us are initially misunderstood at times. Sadly, we often see people through foggy or cracked lens. How often have we got people all wrong? Maybe we should make ‘extending grace’ normal – treat people the way we’d like to be treated. Give space for that second chance to make a good impression. There are times when people do deserve that.
The longer I live, the more I find that time is a great revealer. The truth is, who we are will always surface and stay. The art of pretense, though mastered by many, is not yet perfected. Who we are – is just who we are. Maybe you’ve discovered that we can’t change people, they change when they see the need to.

I pray we’ll be at peace with our kinks, cracks, oddities and peculiarities – those things that make us who we are. Needless to say – there is always room for change. To become a better me or a kinder, wiser you. May we change as our creator nudges us to – His version is always an upgrade. He always steer us from a place of utmost love. The truth is, to live life His way – we must change.
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you..[Psalm 139:13-14,23-24 NLT]
Same here girl…what you see is what you get.
