A friend shared this picture of the his view rising up early in Australia. We each have a view that we wake up to in the morning. For many it is a view that is sprinkled with hope, passion and peace. For others, it is dredged with fear, panic, and dismay. We set the tone for our day by what we choose to chew on and swallow in those moments of quietness we have as we rise in the mornings.
This morning as I rolled over in bed, I heard these words dancing all over my heart and mind. I take them for myself and I also share them with you. Maybe you need to hear this as much as I do.
Never make a decision from a place of fear
Most of what we fear never materialize
Fear is a weapon from the father of lies
It cripples your soul
Blinds your eyes
Deafens your ear
It sows cancer in your soul
Silence its lies with truth
Make your faith louder than your fear
Put your foot on the neck of fear
Rise up against it today
Refuse to be controlled by its rhetoric
Bask in the comfort of God’s arms
Be held today
He is bigger than all you can and cannot see
We choose to change the channel today. For far too long we’ve listened to the voice of fear. It will not own us today nor will it have a seat next to me today. Too often we allow fear to dictate our day. Not today!
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” [Isaiah 41:10]
“Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.” [Psalm 27:3]
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” [Deuteronomy 31:6]
