Laugh a Little

Daily writing prompt
What makes you laugh?

It doesn’t take too much to make me laugh. I’d like to think it’s just in my nature. The people in my space over the years have consistently added much joy to my life. When I count my blessings, they are at the forefront of my mind. My days would not be the same without my troop – my community. Handpicked and specially positioned in my world, even if just for a season. They carry different titles – family, students, friends, co-workers, peers, schoolmates, colleagues and teammates.

Like a delicious one-pot meal, there is a blend of unique flavors and styles. Some I can hang with for time and eternity, some just for moments at a time😊. I have learned to appreciate the variations in personality and how they add to the melodious mix called life. By divine design our worlds collided and the music has been beautiful. I dare to believe that God loved me so much that He ‘searched’ the world over and gifted me with exactly who I needed. Some days it’s an ongoing comedic drama in the melting pot of my classroom. It maybe a phone call that makes me want roll over with a belly laugh. Other days it’s a chat I’m a part of. Sometimes it’s just a memory or a picture that prompts my entire being to erupt in uncontrollable laughter. Laughter has long been part of my daily medicine – it brings health to my bones. Try it sometime!
