Sometimes I notice friends, acquaintances and fellow-bloggers go radio silent. Ever so often I wonder how they are doing. If I can, I try my best to do a ‘check in’. Life comes with a plethora of challenges. It takes us for a ride at times. Seasons change, priorities may shift and we may even get to the point of being overwhelmed. There is no lack of reasons to quit. These reasons often flood our minds and too often they win. We quit – get discouraged and walk away. Occasionally we wonder if anyone notices our empty seats. The abandoned places we once occupied. Am I seen? A question that many of us contemplate.
I take a few moments today to encourage someone who may struggle at times and have toyed with the idea of quitting. Not just as a blogger, but pursuing other passions and life goals. Can I encourage you today not to quit? You are seen. What you do is valued and someone is waiting to be inspired and encouraged just because you stayed. Because you overcame; you kept going. Rest if you must, but don’t quit.
But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love…
Psalm 33:18
