The older I get, the more I realize there’s a method to everyone’s perceived madness. If I take the time to listen, I might get it. Get why you do the things you do. Why you dance to the beat of your drum and don’t feel the need to explain your misunderstood insanity. At another point in my life, I’d question why people put up Christmas decorations in October or early November. I’ve chosen to reserve my judgement. I’ve decided to enjoy it if I can or simply walk away. It’s a s simple as that. My peace comes from the lover of my soul. The Christ who sits with me in my storms. I don’t necessarily need the frills and thrills all the time. But- we are not all the same, are we? As you do you, I’ll cheer you on.

You alone know your ache
Your longing or your thirst
Your desire for something new
Or a call to what was
To relive or recapture a place or time
The lights may bring the hope you need
The music may calm the storm in your soul
The year may have been long
The journey hard
I get the need for a respite
I see why you do you
***Thanks for reading – I get it! Do what brings peace and calm to your world.

As someone who recently started putting up her lights the weekend before Thanksgiving the answer is it brings out the festive spirit. I’ve been toying with a blog about this for days put haven’t found the right words yet. Who knows maybe I never will π.
