Too often we complicate life. We engage in battles not meant for us to fight. Hold on to baggage that cause us to walk bent over. Rather than pursue healing, we keep open wounds that cause us ongoing pain. The emptiness in our soul leave us aching and searching for things that cannot satisfy. We attempt to fill holes in our heart with the excesses of life. Adding more on top of more, attempting to impress those who couldn’t care less.
2024 invites us to keep it simple! Stay in our lane and embrace our discovered purpose. Be okay with our shortcomings as we strive to uncover a better version of ourselves. As we navigate this ‘cactus-like’ life, we take the prickly and the beautiful together. Sometimes we may need to laugh at ourselves, let our hair down and continue the ride. We seek to find peace in a Heavenly Father who knows exactly what we need and the road we should take. We just may discover life is not as convoluted and tangled as we make it. We might discover the joy there is in living simple.
